Send News: A New Look
A newsletter that isn't about games but sometimes it's about games.
San Diego

First Time At San Diego Comic ConThis past weekend was my first time attending SDCC. I think it might be my favorite convention I’ve ever worked? The way the entire city embraces the convention is unlike anything I’ve seen before. bars and restaurants take on visitors with open arms. The sheer amount of stuff to do outside of the convention halls astounded me. We have plenty of great coverage, which I’ll get into below. Check it out → | ![]() |
A First Time Host

My first time stepping into the host role in a major way. It felt surreal and really scary, but luckily I had a great time around me to help keep me on track. It made me really understand how powerful a good mentor can be. Someone with real foundational and institutional knowledge to pass on to rookies. I wouldn’t have made it through the weekend and performed to the caliber that i did without the production team and camera operators who were so quick to give me notes and additional copy to work with. Folks who have been doing this for so long. It’ something we desperately lack in games coverage and it was such a joy to be able to use them as resources and sounding boards throughout the entire process.
I’ve always been looking for mentorship my entire career. Someone to help mold me and my craft. Someone to help me reach the next level of content production. Whether that’s in my writing, my on camera presence, or just in the ways I navigate the space. This weekend I got my first real taste of it after half a decade. It’s something I’ll be chasing for the rest of my life. I’m not here to just be good at what I do, I want to be the best.
I think this is some of the best work of my career and it would mean a lot for y’all to check it out and watch it, share it, and let folks know I’m out here doing the thing. I know I’m capable of producing big time if given the opportunity and this is a shining example of me delivering on that.

Some New Projects
I can’t quite talk about these yet.
Behind the scenes I’ve started a number of new projects with friends. They are in the early stages of production, but when they are ready, don’t worry I’ll share with y’all first!
Anyway, that’s the week. A short but sweet one. Hope y’all like the new layout. I’ll be tinkering with it some more, but I think it helps keep these a little lighter and breezier. If you like the newsletter also share that. I’ve been feeling a little underestimated lately. Not for any specific reason, but I’m out here trying to serve myself and everyone the best that I have and sometimes when things flop it can be hard not to take that personally, especially when I put everything I have of myself into these projects personal or otherwise. So I always appreciate nice words and shouts.
Have a good one y’all.
